“Total duration is probably 5 hours. start was 10:00, and then there was a 30 min drive to the beach , got in the water at 12 and out at 1:40pm (dive length depended on how much air you breathed in or how much is left in tank). . There was not a lot in the water by scuba diving means,but there wasnt nothing either,lots of small fish and plants to see, especiall if you go to the full 9 metres, just dont accidentally kick the instructor like we did! “Our guides Dimitris, Yannis and Dimitria were patient, kind, competent and kept things both safe and fun. This was our first experience with scuba and we found it to be wonderful and addictive. Snorkeling is available for those who don’t take to scuba. The affable Yannis drove us back to the town square and suggested a couple tavernas—a must-do for excellent authentic Cretan food and drinks. “Had an amazing time! Such beautifull scenary and super nice staff, I had Bart as my instructor and he was lovely and very thorough and kind. Lunch at the tavern next to the beach costs around 6-10 eur, we don’t recommend neither the carbonara or the bolognese but the sallads and the omelets looked good but that is besides the point. After the dive you can purchase your pictures they take and those costs 19eur but in my opinion worth the prize. when we where there they offered a little discount if you paid in cash which is a plus.”

“The staff was quite nice but honestly for what you pay it’s not worth the money. The description is misleading, as we spent no longer than 20-25 minutes under water. You don’t see anything that you couldn’t see just swimming at the same beach, as you don’t go any deeper or further out than you could swimming regularly. As for training you don’t learn anything that you couldn’t in a 10 minute google search on scuba basics, so I wouldn’t even say it’s a good first step for people looking to get into scuba diving. “Our instructor Sebastian was extremly patient with us and took time to make us feel comfortable. In the end, my girlfriend and i decided after the pool-session that we dont feel comfortable enough to go for the ocean. It was 100% our deccision, Sebastian always tried to encourage us. Even though we didnt go for the ocean, it was a memorable experience. He recommended that we practice with snorkling and come back to him.”
