By the time we'd queued in the traffic, and queued to take photos of the domes in Oia, and had lunch in Fira, there was hardly any time to do anything else before we had to be back on the coach.”

“These tours do not really give you time to explore properly. you’re mostly just passing through places. In Fira, there isn’t much to see, yet the stop there is longer than in Oia, which is the real highlight of Santorini. For food, don’t waste money at expensive restaurants (where you’ll easily pay at least €50 for small portions). Instead, you can stick to gyros, sandwiches, and set menus in Santorini downtown if you like. So Don’t feel pressured by guides recommendations for dining. Overall, go to Santorini if you wish to see the famous Instagram spots (like we did), but be prepared: reality feels quite different from the dreamy photos…”

This however appears to be excluded and has to be purchased as extra for €20. Santorini is beautiful, but these broken promises make the day much less enjoyable.”

“Meeting at the Seajet kiosk was easy and the trip to Santorini was excellent (although the seas were rough) with fantastic facilities and staff. The tour of Santorini was straightforward and we had time in Thera and another town to walk around. If cruise ships are in it’s VERY crowded. It was good to see the architecture and landscape but the shops and sites were touristy.”

“Ein super schönes Erlebnis. Man kann die Fährentickets auch einzeln kaufen und auf Eigenregiem die Reise angehen. Man muss aber bedenken, dass man sich einen Taxi/ Shuttle etc vom Hafen nach Oia/ Fira (Hin- und Rückfahrt) organisieren muss. Der Weg in Oia/Fira ist sehr holprig und auch in September waren sehr viele Touristen unterwegs. Ich rate ab, selber in die Städte zufahren. Mit der Tour war die Hin- und Rückfahrt inbegriffen und im Endeffekt kommt man preislich gesehen ähnlich aus. Während der Fahrt hat unsere Reisebegleitung informative und spannende Informationen erzählt: Die Fahrt war also nie langweilig. Ungefähre Agenda der Tour war: 8:00-10:00 Fähre nach Santorini - Hafen 10:10-1...”
